Is this a VoIP or virtual number?
No. Cleat lines are real US mobile numbers on a major carrier, which is why they pass the checks that block internet numbers.
Will it work with my bank?
Most services that turn away VoIP numbers accept a real mobile line. No provider can promise every service accepts every number, so try yours in your first month. You can cancel anytime.
Can I make calls or send texts?
Not on this plan. Cleat Line receives texts. Calls and outbound texts are coming with Cleat Full; join the waitlist to hear first.
Why do you need my ID?
Every line belongs to a verified person. It keeps Cleat numbers from being used for fraud, and that is what keeps them working for you.
What happens if a payment fails?
We hold your number for 30 days. Texts that arrive in that window are kept and unlock as soon as your subscription is back on.
Can my team see the texts?
Yes. Invite as many teammates as you need, free. Each person chooses how they get texts: in the app, by email or on Telegram.
Can I choose my area code?
Not yet. Numbers are assigned from available US inventory.
